I like to call Jackie a “small miracle worker”. I like to call her this because this is exactly what she has been for me. I was diagnosed with cervical disc disease in January of 2012 and since that time have seen 3 different physical therapists, including Jackie, and received an epidural steroid injection, all the while taking boatloads of NSAIDs and the occasional muscle relaxant. Then I stumbled luckily upon Rebalance physical therapy and met Jackie and I feel like I have my old ( I should I say young) spine back again. I was a bit hesitant at first to schedule an appointment due to the fact that insurance wasn’t accepted and the money came out of pocket, but finally was fed up and decided it was worth the money. Well, this turned out to be the one of the best decisions I have ever made. Jackie is so easy going, funny, and caring. She listens to you and pays attention to your story at your first visit. Then she does something that physical therapists just don’t do anymore….she actually puts her hands on the area of concern and physically examines the problem, something that is so very lacking in our numbers driven physical therapy world now. I have been going to see Jackie for over half a year now and she has become like a good friend. She has done amazing work on my spine and my range of motion is basically back to normal. I can run, lift weights, do yoga, play with the dogs, do all the things I used to be able to do. Thank you Jackie for what you have done for me. You will never know the gratitude I have for you. I would recommend Jackie and rebalance physical therapy 100 percent. (Oh and Katie the client liaison, she is great too!)

When I had my first appointment with Hina, I had given up hope on living pain free. I was an otherwise healthy 24 year old man, but had been suffering from chronic groin and testicular pain for 3 years. I had visited multiple physicians, urologists, and other specialists and after numerous tests, I still had no idea what was causing the pain or how to make it go away. I had resigned myself to trying to manage the pain with medication. In 2012 I switched physicians, and my new doctor heard my symptoms and immediately recommended Hina. I was skeptical that specialized physical therapy alone could do much for my intense pain, but I figured I might as well give it a try. Within a month of starting the physical therapy sessions, I started feeling noticeable improvement. After close to 2 years of treatment, over 90% of my pain is gone and I have Hina to thank for that. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, Hina genuinely cares about her patients and was incredibly nice and supportive every time I was there. She always listened to what I had to say about my symptoms and would provide exercises and stretches that I could do on my own to supplement the weekly physical therapy sessions. Hina and Rebalance Physical Therapy drastically improved my quality of life. I am incredibly grateful to them and would recommend them to both men and women suffering from chronic pelvic pain.

After a couple years of miss-direction and frustration punctuated by tests and various courses of medications, I found Rebalance. When my doctor was limited by financial requirements to give me 8-10 minutes of attention per appointment, the folks at Rebalance listened to me and got it right. That is a big deal. I am on the path to recovery. Special thanks to Jackie who did all the hard work and listened to my BS. You are providing a vital service long denied to us men.

Before I went to Rebalance PT, I had been dealing with chronic back & hip pain for nearly 2 years and had seen about 12 physical therapists in several states (east and west) with only minimal benefit and pain relief. Having moderate-severe idiopathic scoliosis was likely the root cause of my lower back injury. Most PTs either couldn’t look past the scoliosis, assuming that they were not going to be able to truly help me, while others completely ignored the scoliosis and gave me exercises that were going to cause more problems due to my longstanding muscular imbalances. A friend of mine knew well of Diane Lee and thus suggested that I try Rebalance PT for a more holistic, multidimensional approach to therapy. And that was exactly what I got from Rebalance. After explaining my long and complex history, Hina came to my first appointment with Emily (former Rebalance PT) so that they both could diagnosis me and discuss a treatment plan. That alone shows how much they really value and care about their clients. Though I worked with Jackie the most (who has miracle hands, by the way), I worked with just about all therapists at Rebalance and got equally beneficial treatment and results from each of them. They investigated how my whole body was potentially involved in my back pain.. from my ankles and leg muscles to pelvic floor, to positioning of each rib! When starting PT, I was not even able to do any back strengthening exercises without pain. At Rebalance they eased me into strengthening work by really focusing on form, breathing, and isolating the specific muscles I was trying to strengthen. After a few months of treatment, I was able to take on more strengthening exercises, as well as get back into some cardio. I worked with Rebalance therapists for about 1.5 years and can now run, swim, cycle, strengthen, etc. I can, without a doubt, say that all therapists at Rebalance are the best I’ve been to. They not only helped me get back on my feet, but they restored my hope and confidence that I was going to get better.

Hina has been a tremendous help in my recovery process, more useful than any doctor I came across in diagnosing and treating my injuries. She has a positive attitude and a deep breadth of knowledge to draw upon in tailoring a program to individual needs.
