Almost 3 years ago, I started experience excruciating pain during sex. Not having any history of problems, I was relieved when my OBGYN diagnosed it as a simple yeast infection.
Three really long years later, I was having no relief, and I had now been to 3 different doctors all diagnosing me and treating me with the same thing. I finally found out that the pain I had was called vestibulitis. Still to this day, I don’t really understand 100% what it is, or why you get it. All I knew is that there was no “cure” and there were several different ways to treat it. I tried almost every treatment, including surgery without ever getting back to normal. When my doctor recommended physical therapy for my problem, I wasn’t really sure what to make of it. I was nervous, and what would have normally been a really uncomfortable experience was made incredibly easy with Hina. I was told that she was the best, and she is! From day one she made me feel at ease, and we became fast friends. I’m not sure how I would have gotten through another year of this if it wasn’t for her expertise, nurturing, humor and kindness. She was able to really help me figure out what was happening with my body and gave me the tools to get me back to 100%! Even though I’ve moved from Philadelphia to NYC, I would get on a train back to Hina, rather than trust anybody else!

Today I feel great. Before I began Physical Therapy with Hina I did not. For seven years, I had chronic low and mid back pain. In 2002, while playing basketball (33 yrs old and fit), I came down from a layup and immediately threw out my back. I could not walk, sit, stand straight or move in any direction without pain. I had no idea what I would be in for or that it would take seven years to bring steady resolution to my pain. I tried everything to make myself well. I visited a dizzying array of medical professionals and participated in several clinical evaluations, observations, studies, programs and treatments including: three different physicians specializing in sports rehabilitation; three different physical therapy clinics; a highly regarded acupuncturist; epidural shot; facet injection; and of course, a million massages. Despite these efforts, I had intermittent relief from the pain. To make things worse, no professional had offered a comprehensive solution to my low back pain. Like any other low back pain sufferer, I had two blown discs; but, hey, big deal so does everyone else. I was almost at a dead end with my never ending attempts to heal my back.
Finally, in summer 2009, I was lucky enough to meet Hina. I immediately was attracted to Hina’s philosophy of treating back pain; and this could not happen with other physicians who share none of Hina’s skills (she communicates to the patient and listens to the patient). Hina implemented a careful program that was specifically suited to my pain, my body and my life. It was perfect. No professional before had offered such a simple yet proficient plan (in comparison, all other professionals prescribed a fast treatment — something that suited their own programs — but Hina made me the program). For four months, Hina guided me through a series of unique stretches and strength exercises that progressed from very easy to difficult as I learned and adapted to the therapy. Hina’s understanding of muscles, and the interaction of muscles, joints and ligaments with each other and the rest of the body is unrivaled. Of course, I am biased, I feel fantastic.

I have had ongoing foot problems for 10 years and have been seen by many doctors and physical therapists along the way that never fixed my problem. I thought I would never run pain free and learned to accept my fate. That all changed when I met Hina Sheth. Hina’s knowledge, experience and manual approach quickly diagnosed my problem and she worked magic on my feet for 6 weeks. Her approach to physical therapy is goal oriented. My ankle flexibility has gone from 0 to over 12 and continues to get better. I wake up and don’t limp anymore. I can run long distances pain free and my calf muscles stopped tightening. I am enjoying my new pain free lifestyle and I owe all my thanks to Hina.

Hina is amazing. I had so much pain in my hips and hamstrings that it was difficult to walk without experiencing excruciating pain. I had been to orthopedic surgeons, gynecologists, general practitioners, chiropractors and a colon doctor and they were not able to help me. I was sent for every test imaginable. The doctors did find problems with my tests, but were unable to help me with the pain. During my first visit with Hina, she found the solution. She found what all of the other doctors could not find. I am now able to exercise and walk again with limited pain. I just can not thank her enough for taking the time to help me.

For months and months I had this pain in my right ankle. I asked a many different doctors and therapists for advice and I was told to do certain exercises and that’s about it. Hina took the time to do specific friction massage work around the tendons and ligaments around my ankle. She told me how to ice and rest it. She also helped me with different stretching and strengthening exercises that helped tremendously. She made sure I was keeping up with my exercises. Hina is a wonderful physical therapist and really does care about her work and her patients. My ankle is all better and has remained that way ever since seeing her!
