We We are considered an out of network provider. We have chosen not to participate in insurance plans due to the limitations they can place on physical therapy providers. Many insurance companies limit the amount of visits, time and body parts that a physical therapist can treat, making it difficult to treat the body as a whole. Therapists that work in clinics where insurances are billed have to see at least 2 if not more clients per hour in a group setting. They have to do this because insurances pay these clinics typically less then half of what is billed out. Each year this amount becomes less and therefore therapists have to see more patients. This is where we believe quality of care is compromised. We know because we used to be a therapists at these clinics for several years. Even though we were very skilled, we could not spend the necessary time we needed with clients and found ourselves having to treat them more often and longer then we needed to improve their problem. This is the whole reason why Rebalances was created. We believe in quality over quantity and this is where we differ from the traditional clinics.
How can seeing a Rebalance therapist be more economical?
Given the significant changes happening with the new Obamocare plans, many are finding that their in network deductible have become ridiculously high. Many patients find that coming to us is actually more financially efficient. Think about it. If you have to meet your deductible anyway and pay for physical therapy, wouldn’t it make more sense to see a highly reputable physical therapists where you have their full attention at every appointment, where you are treated with an integrated approach and that your time is spent doing only necessary therapy. We typically see a patient one time per week due to the signficant changes we can make manually so also saves you time. And let’s face it, time is money, it’s time away from your family, kids, hobbies! A one time visit can be less than 2-3 co-pays at traditional clinics that work in a group setting. Our office will give you a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for appropriate reimbursement.
Why has Rebalance Physical Therapy chosen not to be an in-network provider with insurances?
We have chosen not to participate within insurances because of the way we have structured our practice–One-to-one using a hands on treatment model. We believe that every person should be evaluated completely with full attention at every visit. Most traditional physical therapy clinics where in network coverage is provided often work with at least 2 patients per hour in a gym type setting often being shared by aids, PT assistance. The tendency is to utilize modalities such as heat, stim, and ultrasound to be able see more patients and bill insurances companies. You have a limited amount of time with the physical therapist and then are doing exercises and stretches in a group setting. We believe our hands are our best modality and in order give our patients the best treatment in this manner we have chosen to not participate with insurances. We also feel that the our clients time is valuable and that getting down to the skilled treatment is where our we can help the most and that you can do your exercises and stretches at home.
We recommend that you were clothing that will make access to the area of the body in which you are requiring physical therapy. Shorts and tank tops usually work well. We do have shorts if needed.

Some parking lots may have reduced day rates for the 12th street gym. This tends to change all the time so you will have to inquire with them individually.
